Concha Y Toro Marques de Casa Concha Carmenere 2007

Marques de Casa Concha Carmenere

Red

This is a dangerous wine! With a deep purple hue, long and slow legs, and aromas of cassis-blackberry, dark cherry, chocolate and tumeric, this leads to flavors of blackberry and chocolate that finish soft and smooth. It is dangerous because there are no hard edges and very seamless, which make it taste like juice. What a value! Yum!

Maryhill Cabernet Sauvignon 2006

Producer:
Maryhill
Item name:
Cabernet Sauvignon Columbia Valley
Wine type:
Red

Deep, dark ruby color, with clear edges, this Columbia Valley Cab is killer! This has a bouquet of cherry, blackberry and molasses. In the mouth it is viscous and full-bodied, with dark cherry fruit that lingers on the long finish. Stunning stuff, this outshines many Washington cabs at twice the price!

Football Foreshadowing...Oregon vs. Washington at Pete's Bellevue

It's almost football season and we thought we could start things off with the big one: Washington versus Oregon! With the big brooding reds and complex whites of Washington, and the racy, zippy whites and sexy smooth reds from Oregon, we're not sure who will win! Please join Andy Campbell as he referees the match between various Washington wines he chooses, and Alan Hanish of Lange Winery, the premier Pinot Noir and Pinot Gris producer from the Willamette Valley in Oregon, Who do you think will win?

Tasting is from 3-6 pm. Hope to see you at Pete's Bellevue this Saturday!
